Real Wedding: Carla and Sean’s Indian Inspired Wedding

Carla and Sean’s wedding at Spice Market, a South Asian inspired restaurant in the meatpacking district of NYC, is a perfect example of how to match your wedding stationery to your venue.

When Carla and Sean contacted us for escort cards and table numbers for their wedding, they had already ordered our Indian inspired favor labels online and were looking to match the design.

The designs they choose blended in with Spice Market’s Indian and Malaysian feel. And the special touches they added really made the wedding their own:

I love how they integrated spices into the presentation of the escort cards. It really ties back to the wedding venue.

It’s nice to have a quiet place for just the two of you to enjoy your first moments as a married couple. This sweetheart table is decorated simply with delicious food, menus and our handmade table number.

Wish tags make a great guest book alternative….and they look so pretty at your reception.

Carla and Sean gave their guests chai as wedding favors. The look really came together with our favor labels and these great jars that they found.

Behind the Scenes in Our New Office

Posted by in In the Studio, Our Designs, The Creative Business

New year, new office. We recently moved and one of the first rooms we set up was our office. It’s still very much a work in progress. But we are making progress and working on wedding stationery…so it’s all good.

Our Office 1

Creative Chaos

Well, when you offer over 20 colors of envelopes and cardstock backers for invitations you have to keep them somewhere. If you look closely, you’ll see a few of Justin’s handmade plastic flutes tucked away on the top shelf. He loves to play while he works.

coffe cans

Reuse, Upcycle

We hate to throw something away if we can reuse it. Here coffee cans hold our pencils, bone folders and decorative scissors. Good thing Justin loves coffee, because we have many bits and bobs to keep organized! When I have a little bit more time, I just might cover those with pretty paper printed with our prints and patterns.

vintage map invitations pink and silver

The best job ever!

Making invitations and wedding stationery all day is actually so much fun and we love it. My favorite is seeing the color combinations the couples have created finally come together on a finished design. This design above was particularly fun. It’s a silver backer with blush pink, gray and Tiffany blue ink.

Vintage Florida Map Wedding Invitation Set

Vintage Florida Map Invitation Set

When we first introduced our vintage world map wedding invitation last year, the first person who ordered it wanted to highlight a Florida map. And since then we kept getting inquiries about Florida map save the date postcards.

Well, it’s always good to listen to your customers…especially our customers who tend to be super creative!

And so we’ve finally created a dedicated vintage Florida map design, complete with save the date, invitation and thank you card.

It uses a vintage 1920s map and all the colors, including the map color, can be customized for your wedding palette. Taking a wedding palette and figuring out the best ways to use it on an invitation is my favorite part of proofing with our customers.

You can see ordering details in our Etsy wedding stationery shop. See the set in detail below:

Florida Map Save the Date Postcard

Save the Date Postcard

The save the date sets the stage for the rest of the stationery design. We packed a lot of design and information in a small size, that mails affordably with a postcard stamp.

Florida Map Booklet Invitation

Folded Booklet Invitation

Add a personal quote, or leave it out — it’s up to you. Neatly keep your RSVP and inserts together with a clever loop while the focus stays where it belongs…on your invitation.

Florida Map Invitation RSVP

Layered reply card with response envelope matches the style and look of the main booklet invitation.

Florida Map Return Address Labels

Return Address Wrap Labels

Stylishly dressed envelopes include your return address with labels that wrap your envelopes in coordinating design. Color envelopes are included, and we can even print your guest names and addresses on your outer envelope label.

Vintage Florida Map Thank You Card

Personalized Thank You Note Card

And when the last guest has gone home, you can thank them with personalized note cards that bring your wedding style alive again.

First Look: DIY Wedding Invitations

Posted by in DIY, Our Designs

DIY Indian wedding invitation

When I was a kid, I loved puzzles.

I’d sit for hours and turn little colorful cardboard pieces into a beautiful picture.

And today, I still love how the different pieces of our designs…wrap, ribbon, backer and invitation layer come together to make something unique for each couple.

Now, we’ve created a way for you to have the same fun that we do everyday: with our new DIY stationery collection.

In addition to a DIY invitation where you simply fill in your wording and print, we are adding matching papers, address labels, tags, wedding programs, reception stationery and more.

So you can coordinate your wedding as much as you want, get more off your to-do list, and focus on the fun stuff.

We’ve sized the invitations so you can add your own embellishments. And if you don’t to print and cut them yourself, no problem! We’ve included an invitation file that you can customize and upload to our Zazzle shop for quality printing that ships in 1 to 3 days.

We’re still pulling together all the coordinating design pieces. But you can see the invitations and some of our digital papers (perfect for matching wraps, bellybands and layered prints) in our DIY stationery Etsy shop.

In the meantime, here are some of the fun ideas that you will be able to create:
