Real Palettes: Teal, Fuchsia and Gold Indian Wedding

Sometimes it takes experimentation to land on the color palette you like.

We were working on a wedding program for an Indian wedding that originally had royal blue and gold as the main colors. A two color palette works well on invitation design. But often once the reception design begins, more colors are pulled in with flowers, table linens, chair coverings and even tableware.

So the bride came back and added teal and fuchsia to the mix and it really brought the entire design alive.

I love the results, what about you? What colors would you add to your palette to fill it out?

Sneak Peek: Indian Lotus Wedding Invitation Booklet in Purple and Teal

Indian lotus booklet wedding invitation and cover

We are working with a couple who were having a destination wedding in the mountains. They really loved our Mexican Tile Folder Booklet and our Lotus Floral Print. So we combined the two for a new design.

We loved it so much that we’ve decided to add the design in our collection. I’m really enjoying this color palette too: teal, purple and gold. It’s bold yet elegant … perfect for a modern Indian wedding or a mountain wedding in Big Sky country.

Beyond Red: Orange and Teal Mexican Wedding Inspiration

Posted by in Create the Look

There are so many beautiful destination weddings in Mexico. And as much as I love the bold palette of red and black for a Mexican wedding, those colors aren’t for everyone! Looking to go softer and brighter, but still play with a traditional Mexican color palette? How about orange and teal?

Wouldn’t these papel picado banners look beautiful in your reception space…or overhead at an outdoor wedding? {Handmade by aymujer.etsy.com}

{Designer Secret} Bold and bright colors can be kept airy and light by adding white and see through fabrics. And of course everything doesn’t have to scream “Mexico”.  But touches here and there, like the embroidery on this wedding dress are really lovely.

A little fun and whimsy works too! Though, as I wrote last week, you don’t want to overdo it on the Mexican Day of the Dead skulls.

Ribbons, tags, even placing favors on a plate in your color scheme can tie designs to your palette even when they don’t share the same colors. {DIY tequila wedding favor via Ruffled}
